Security
Security measures serve to avert terrorist threats. They are indispensable and are a mandatory prerequisite for ensuring that air travel is safe. This area is rightly subject to strict regulations at the national and EU levels
What is security?
Security includes passenger, baggage and cargo screening as well as security checks and access checkpoints for airport employees. The aim of these measures is to avert terrorist threats and protect civil aviation passengers.
It should be pointed out that security-related damage can occur only if someone is in a position to put his or her evil intentions into action.
This area is very strictly regulated by laws and regulations at the national and EU levels.
Key role in security: the aircraft ground handler
The aircraft ground handler is responsible for the final monitoring of compliance with security regulations at the airport, regardless of whether these regulations involve passengers, cargo or the baggage he or she is loading. If suspicious persons or baggage items are seen on the airport ramp, the ground handler is expected to intervene.
