We assume responsibility!
Aviation Safety Initiative
Aircraft handlers ensure compliance with the safety standards in aviation so that accidents are ruled out right from the start. They earn the gratitude of the more than 700 million passengers who board aircraft in the EU each year.
Our goal:
A Europe-wide minimum standard for the qualification of ground handling staff!
The aircraft handler – the key interface for aviation safety
- Value of an Airbus A340-600: more than 200 million euros.
- Minimum training requirement in the EU before qualifying to prepare an aircraft for departure: none.
- Estimated annual damage to airlines through ground handling: 4 billion US dollars.
- Not to mention the potential harm to people.
- Each year more than 700 million people board aircraft across Europe. The trend: increasing. Their expectation: to arrive safely at their destination.
- For this reason we need a minimum standard for the qualification of aircraft handlers in the EU – and we need your voice in support of this aim!
Our goal: an EU-wide standardized and qualified training program
This website was created to inform passengers and the relevant decision-makers and motivate them to support and further our goals.
